Who We Are

United Methodist Women is now United Women in Faith.

Our Mission

We seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities.

Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.

Our Vision

We are a powerful, fearless force driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children and youth, we act for justice and transform communities.

We face the realities we see in the world, even when they are not the ones we would like to see. However, our goal is not to bear witness simply to harms but also to God’s love by acting boldly to change those harms.

Our Action

Bold action, like faith, takes courage. Our bravery is inspired by God’s love and our powerful commitment to improve the lives of women, children and youth. United Women in Faith works for justice through compassionate service and advocacy to change unfair policies and systems that harm women, children and youth—from racial and gender injustice to economic inequality, climate issues and more.

Community Programs

Diaper & Book Drive (March)

UWF collects diapers, pull-ups, wipes, and children's books for Cornerstone Family Ministry's Rosa Veldez Early Childhood Learning Center.

Personal Care Items (September)

We sew and stuff ditty bags with donated personal care products for St. Pete Free Clinic.

Beans and Jeans (October)

In November, the entire church family helps UMW collect clothing, beans, and rice for our annual trek to the Farmworkers Self-Help (FSH) center in Dade City, FL.  FSH provides services such as emergency food and clothing, shelter assistance, medical assistance and immigration assistance because of the tremendous local need, but the majority of their efforts and programs work toward facilitating the self-development of the whole person toward self-reliance and personal independence, through community organizing, education, advocacy, justice and empowerment.

Nap Mat Covers (Year-Round)

Do you sew? Ar your leisure, help us make children's nap mat slipcovers for Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center. Sew a large pillowcase: 56"x27" (+/- 1").
