On Good Friday we will gather in the shadows of Christ's passion. Gazing through the dappled light of His final days, we search for meaning in the words He spoke to His disciples during this sacred time. As the cross grew nearer, Jesus gave His final lessons in grace. Each treasured word reflected truth like a rainbow of promise to His followers, speaking both comfort and challenge, peace and purpose.

Individually, the lessons are fragments of a greater truth. It is only after the crucifixion and the final lesson of forgiveness that we, like the disciples, can glimpse the whole picture. With colors forged in the…
